Fibromyalgia (FM) shares many of the same symptoms as CFS. It is diagnosed by noting tender points at specific places on the body. Some clinicians have observed that FM patients on average experience more pain than CFS patients, and conversely that CFS patients on average experience more cognitive dysfunction.
